I'm Wendy C. and I'm a junior from Emma Willard School. For my signature project, I decided to work on a research project that utilizes structured or unstructured data to extract knowledge about a certain business-related topic.

Where My Love For Data Analysis Start

When I was 13, it was the daily business discussions during our family dinner that propelled me to join our family's store on the weekend, inputing basic merchandise data into the Excel spreadsheet. It was my curiosity in how the myriad shortcuts that make it so effortless to organize and grasp the grocery product’s details that led me to create a copy of the spreadsheet so that I could examine the functions in more depth. As this evolved my years of experiences with this work, I also discovered the exciting side of data analysis.

Why I Decided to Start This Project?

To further explore and learn skills that is necessary for a data scientist, I decided to start this project as my first official hand-on experiences on extracting big data and doing data analysis. In the process of searching for a research topic, I was introduced to the world of cryptocurrency. Hence, this became the research topic.
